Anxiety

Anxiety is about having negative thoughts about ourselves:

  • Deep-seated insecurity and lack of self-confidence
  • Being unable to face the day, your job, and interpersonal interactions because you question your strength
  • Feeling stressed during the day
  • Incessant and excessive worries about tomorrow, the future, and your ability to deal with life challenges
  • Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors
  • Racing thoughts and rumination
  • Fearing that something bad might happen if something is not done correctly
  • Fearing loneliness and feeling insecure about relationships
  • Difficult concentrating, or your mind going blank
  • Sleep disturbance, difficulty to fall asleep, or waking up in the middle of the night

Social anxiety happens when you experience persistent fears in:

  • Social situations or social settings
  • Performance situations
  • Being negatively evaluated by others in social or professional situations
  • Making phone calls or speaking in public

Anxiety may happen because of past history of perceived failures. or things that didn't go well for you, or simply by reinforcing negative thoughts as a result of obsessive thoughts.
