Confidentiality and Privacy Policies

Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between the client and the psychotherapist. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with most sensitive subject matters that are usually not discussed anywhere but in my office.

In our first meeting I will provide you with a copy of my practice privacy notice and an informed consent to therapy.
You can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone, subject to certain legal requirements to disclose in the case of the risk of suicide, harm to others, or the suspicion of child abuse.

During our first session I will discuss with you the exceptions to confidentiality mandated by state law and professional ethics.
